{"id":2671,"date":"2018-12-28T12:41:17","date_gmt":"2018-12-28T12:41:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/icofom.mini.icom.museum\/the-icom-mpr-2011-annual-conference-is-taking-place-in-brno-czech-republic-from-17th-to-20th-september-2011\/"},"modified":"2020-02-05T22:35:13","modified_gmt":"2020-02-05T22:35:13","slug":"the-icom-mpr-2011-annual-conference-is-taking-place-in-brno-czech-republic-from-17th-to-20th-september-2011","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/icofom.mini.icom.museum\/fr\/the-icom-mpr-2011-annual-conference-is-taking-place-in-brno-czech-republic-from-17th-to-20th-september-2011\/","title":{"rendered":"The ICOM MPR 2011 annual conference is taking place in Brno, Czech Republic, from 17th to 20th September, 2011."},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"c3578\">\n<p><!-- Plugin inserted: [begin] --><\/p>\n<p>The ICOM MPR 2011 annual conference is taking place in Brno,<br \/>\nCzech Republic, from 17th to 20th September, 2011.<\/p>\n<p>This year, the conference theme is Measuring (and Promoting)<br \/>\nMuseum Success<\/p>\n<p>The Organising Committee for ICOM-MPR is seeking expressions of<br \/>\ninterest from potential speakers on topics related to the<br \/>\nconference theme and to the three sub-themes:<\/p>\n<p>1) How governments measure the success of museums<br \/>\n2) How museums determine their own success<br \/>\n3) How the public measures the success of museums<\/p>\n<p>In addition, we encourage proposals from potential speakers who<br \/>\nare interested in how we use evidence of success in our branding,<br \/>\nmarketing and advocacy.<br \/>\nPlease submit your abstract to Simona Jurackova at<br \/>\njurackova@szmo.cz by the 10th May, 2011.<\/p>\n<p>Instructions for writing abstracts:<br \/>\n\u2013 Electronic transmission in Word (.doc), Rich Text Format (.rtf)<br \/>\nor PDF is preferred and requested<br \/>\n\u2013 Abstracts must be written in English (working language of the<br \/>\nConference)<br \/>\n\u2013 Title<br \/>\n\u2013 Institution of the author<br \/>\n\u2013 Text of the abstract, containing 250 words maximum, structured<br \/>\nwith subheadings: introduction, aims and conclusion<br \/>\n\u2013 Name, surname, address and e-mail address of the presenting<br \/>\nauthor, to whom the confirmation and further correspondence will<br \/>\nbe sent<\/p>\n<p>The receipt of abstracts will be confirmed, and a decision on<br \/>\noffers will be made shortly after all abstracts are received.<br \/>\nSuccessful speakers will be notified in May 2011.<\/p>\n<p>Important notice:<br \/>\nAs a not-for-profit entity with extremely limited resources, it<br \/>\nis not possible for ICOM-MPR to pay for the travel or<br \/>\naccommodation expenses of its speakers. Please also note that<br \/>\naccepted papers are not exempt from payment of the registration<br \/>\nfee.
