The 2011 Conference of the Marketing and Public Relations International Committee
Registrations are now open for the 2011 Marketing and Public
Relations International Committee of ICOM Conference to be held
this year in Brno, Czech Republic from the 17th-20th September.

The Conference Organising Committee has planned an exciting
programme on the subject Measuring and Promoting Museum Success.
International keynote speakers will explore three different
aspects of the theme:
1. How governments measure the success of museums- keynote
speaker: David O’Brien, of Leeds Metropolitan University and
author of ‘Measuring the value of culture’ (2010) a report to the
national department of culture in the UK;
2. How museum planning can create value- keynote speaker: Lynn
Dierking, from Oregon State University, USA and author of the
forthcoming ‘Museums, families and communities: being of value’;
3. How to capture the intangible aspects of museum value- keynote
speaker: Carol Scott, international museum expert and author of
‘Looking for the public in Public Value’ (2010).
The early bird registration fee closes on the 30th June and we
