Dear ICOFOM members and museum enthusiasts,

ICOM Define, the current committee charged with producing a new museum definition for the 2022 ICOM triennial has produced 5 proposals for a museum definition. These proposals are based on the results from the Consultation 2 and Consultations 3, produced by an external team of analysts. To this end, ICOFOM is distributing a last survey to all those who kindly responded to our previous surveys, corresponding with the final steps of the museum definition process. National and internationals committee have the possibility to choose, rank and make comments on the 5 proposals for a museum definition. This process will allow for the selection of the definition to be voted on at the ICOM Extraordinary General Assembly in Prague in August 2022.

While this survey is anonymous, we do need some background information from you in order to put your responses into context. Your input is very important and essential to achieving a workable global museum definition. We would ask that you please return your response no later than 28th March.
